Peter Beerman, Senior Vice President, Sales

As Senior Vice President of Sales and Client Services, Peter is responsible for business growth, strategy, product development, account management, and exceptional client retention and satisfaction. Using a proven consultative service approach to maximize client satisfaction and deliver real value, he ensures HealthSmartRx Solutions performance aligns with each plan sponsor’s business objectives and the best interests of their members. Under his leadership, the client services team delivers unparalleled service to over 250 clients across multiple lines of business, including state and local government entities, employer/TPA groups, multi-employer funds, native American tribes, and health plans/health systems.

Peter has spent more than 34 years in the managed health care industry in client facing roles including health plans and pharmacy benefit management services. Prior to joining HealthSmartRx Solutions, Peter worked at UnitedHealth Group, OptumRx, where he was Area Vice President. He also held senior sales executive-level positions with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, New England Financial/Great West Life, and Prudential Group Insurance.

Peter graduated from St. Lawrence University with bachelor’s degree in economics.
